जल की हर बूंद अमृत, इसे व्यर्थ न बहने दे (Every drop of water is nectar, do not let it flow in vain)

             विगत कई वर्षों से बेपरवाह पानी की बर्बादी और सरकारी एवं नागरिक स्तर पर जल संकट के प्रति बेफिक्री से जल संकट आपदा में तब्दील हो गया हैं। ऐसे कई लोग है जिनके घरों में स्वयं के व्यक्तिगत  जल स्त्रोत है। वे जल की बेहताशा बर्बादी कर रहे हैं। दूसरी ओर जिन इलाकों या घरों में जल की आपूर्ति नहीं है वे कई किलोमीटर दूर पानी की तलाश में पैदल चलकर वहां से पानी का घड़ा भरकर अपने सर पर रखकर, मुसीबतों का सामना करते हुए जल ला रहे हैं। उनके लिए जल की एक-एक बूंद अमृत के समान हैं। इतनी असमानताओं के बावजूद अभी तक शासन की ओर से ऐसी कोई योजना लागु नहीं की गई है जिसमें की जल का वितरण हर इलाके और हर घर में सामान हो। सरकार की अधिकांश योजनाएं स्वच्छ पेयजल मुहैया कराने को लेकर बनायी जाती है जो की वास्तव में द्वितीय प्राथमिकता होनी चाहिए। क्योंकि जब जल ही उपलब्ध नहीं होगा तो स्वच्छ जल कैसे मुहैया कराया जा सकता हैं? सरकार की पहली प्राथमिकता जल की बेपरवाह बर्बादी को रोकना एवं वर्षा जल को सहेजकर धरती के अंदर रखने की होनी चाहिए। जिससे की मिट्टी में नमी के साथ ही पेड़ पौधों को फायदा होगा एवं स्वच्छ पर्यावरण का निर्माण हो सकेगा। इसके लिए जिन घरों में स्वयं के व्यक्तिगत नलकूप अथवा अन्य कोई जल स्त्रोत हो तो इनके लिए जल मीटर लगाना चाहिए। जल निकासी की एक निश्चित सीमा का निर्धारण करना चाहिए। यदि तय सीमा से अधिक कोई जल लेता है तो उससे दंडस्वरूप अतिरिक्त शुल्क लेना चाहिए। साथ ही मकानों के निर्माण में वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टम बनाना अनिवार्य होना चाहिए जिससे की वर्षा के जल को संग्रहित कर उपयोग किया जा सके। अब भी यदि हर व्यक्ति जल के महत्व को समझ ले और इसे अमृत की तरह उपयोग में लाये तो जल संकट की आपदा से बचा जा सकता हैं।

         Over the years, water crisis has turned into a disaster due to inadvertent water wastage and water crisis at government and civil level.

There are many people who have their own personal water sources in their homes. They are wasteful of water.

On the other hand, the areas or houses which do not have water supply, are bringing water on their head after walking many kilometers in search of water and placing a pot of water on their head.

For them, every drop of water is like nectar.

Despite such disparities, no such scheme has been implemented by the government so far that water distribution is same in every area and every household.

Most of the government's schemes are made to provide clean drinking water which should really be the second priority.

Because when water is not available, how can clean water be provided?

The first priority of the government should be to prevent inadvertent waste of water and save rainwater and keep it inside the earth.

With the help of soil moisture, tree plants will benefit and a clean environment will be created.

For this, water meters should be installed for the houses which have their own personal tube wells or any other water source.

A certain extent of drainage should be determined.

If anyone takes water in excess of the prescribed limit, then additional charges should be levied as penalty.

Also, water harvesting system should be mandatory in construction of houses so that rainwater can be stored and used.

Even now, if every person understands the importance of water and uses it as nectar, then the disaster of water crisis can be avoided.
